The Most Modern Industrial Park in Slovakia

The Veľká Ida Industrial Park, spanning an impressive 30.62 hectares, stands as the largest undertaking by the KORSO Group to date. Currently, the logistics and industrial park provides employment for over 1,200 individuals, with projections indicating that this number could rise to as many as 2,500 local residents from nearby towns and villages in the near future. We are also in the process of preparing for a significant expansion of the industrial park, which will add nearly 62,000 square metres (6.2 hectares) of space. The entire industrial park is fully connected to essential infrastructure, ensuring a reliable supply of utilities, even for highly energy-intensive industries.

To guarantee a stable and adequate electrical energy supply for both established companies and those planning to set up operations here, we have contributed to the construction of a 110/22kV transformer station. This facility, which has been approved by ENERGY DISTRIBUTION, s.r.o. (a member of the ENGIE group), boasts a capacity of 2×12.5 MW, with the potential to increase to a maximum output of 2×25 MW.

Additionally, we provide above-standard natural gas supplies at a rate of 870 m³/hour, with options for further capacity expansion to accommodate the needs of future investors, alongside robust water management capabilities.

Established Companies in the Park:

• IEE Sensing Slovakia a.s. – This company specialises in the production of sensing systems (sensors) for the automotive industry and employs 750 staff members.

• Oerlikon Balzers Coating Slovakia s. r. o. – With two production halls located in the industrial park, this company is dedicated to the repair of defective components and has also established a research and development centre. Currently, it employs 250 individuals.

• Dominion Steelcon Slovakia s.r.o. – This company’s production programme focuses on manufacturing steel chimneys for industrial use, with plans to employ approximately 150 staff members.

Technical Parameters of the Veľká Ida Industrial Park:

Road Transport: The industrial park is located 20 km from Košice, just 3.5 km from the junction of the E58 and the future R2 roads, and 15 km from the D1 motorway. It also boasts direct access to the E58 road.

Rail Transport: The freight railway siding in the village of Veľká Ida is situated 6 km from the industrial park, while the broad gauge siding at US Steel is a mere 8 km away.

Air Transport: Košice Airport is conveniently located just 10 km from the Veľká Ida Industrial Park.

Energy Capacity: The electricity supply is provided through a 110/22 kV transformer station with an initial capacity of 12.5 MW, which can be upgraded to a maximum capacity of 25 MW.

Water Supply: The water supply is equipped with a DN 150 pipe and a maximum flow rate of 15 l/s, with the potential to reach a maximum capacity of 24 l/s.

Gas Pipeline: The internal distribution system features a STL DN 150 gas pipeline, with a maximum capacity of 870 m³/hour.
